About the Collaborative

The ARE VA Collaborative is a non-profit organization dedicated to uplifting and providing a platform for local and independent artists, creatives, and entrepreneurs. We are a team...a family of creatives who are passionate about building our brands, supporting each other and building the community. Through artist showcases, pop-up events, and other community-centered activities, we foster creative networking and brand building experiences. Recognizing the power of collaboration and education, we are developing opportunities for learning and growth in the creative industries. Our commitment goes beyond entertainment, as we actively give back to the community by organizing food drives, clothing and blanket donations, and supporting those in need. Together, we build connections, inspire creativity, and make a positive impact.

I started the Collaborative when my event venue was in operation to provide a collaborative space and platform for local artists,  entrepreneurs and creatives. Though, the brick and mortar is not currently open, we have various venues in the community who see and believe in the vision of the Collaborative and have opened their doors to us in order to help support the mission and contiue to grow the platform. As a non-profit we also continue to host events and offer services that are geared toward highlighting, helping and supporting local creatives.
